Trip to the Zoo with Tayter

What could be better then a field trip with 8 preschoolers? Nothing, i had so much fun with the kids and other moms. Taylahs teacher Sunshine had the class make matching shirts with the kids hand prints on them. I thought they were so cute. We enjoyed the over cast weather and fun snacks. So many of the animals were MIA at the zoo no zebras, bears, or penguins. Taylah kept asking me where are the penguins mommy it was sad and cute all at the same time.

Taylah has be going through a fun "phase" that consists of her saying no to everything and not wanting to leave my side. it's been a long three weeks with me trying to work full time and her having preschool and not wanting to go. Then when i see her making faces like these i forget about the tantrums and crying and i just want to kiss her and never let go.

Tay and I had a picnic last Friday after preschool. the weather was warm so i picked up McDonald's {tays request} and we hung out. I love my tayters so much that face of hers just makes me happy.

For my Moms birthday we decided to go for afternoon tea at The Grand America hotel. It was so much fun going with my sisters {- Danielle she was out of town} and my sister in law Crystal. We all met at the hotel and when we got there Kaitlin and my mom were wearing the exact same outfit. it was so funny that they showed up that way both in with eyelet dresses and purple cardigan. We enjoyed our hot chocolate, scones, tea sandwiches, and dessert. Loved going can't wait to go again with Talyah.

Then the othe Kaufusi (jill, Vili and Kids) came over for an indoor easter egg hunt and Breackfast. Later that day we went over to my parents house and had dinner and endulged in my fav. I know it's almost been a year since i posted last. I started working full time in September and have been really busy. A short update real quick. Hala is going to school full time at UVU. He also works full time and plays golf every chance he gets. I'm working at good old Tai-Pan Trading as the Director of Fashion. TPT started selling fashion {handbags, jewelry, shirts, and other accessories} and i love it so much! Taylah is almost finished with her first year of pre school she loves her teacher Miss Sunshine. She also loves dancing, singing, and playing house with her friends and cousins.

hala's whole family went to lagoon a few weeks ago. It was so much fun I hadn't been since i was in 9th grade. taylah had so much fun on all the rides she would cry when she couldn't go on the ride for being to little. she fell in love with this ride called the dragon. the dragon is a ride the goes in a circle really fast for a long time and then stops and goes the opposite way. taylah kept on wanting to go so i went and went at the end of the day i was so sick.

We went to St. George for confrence weekend with my parents, stephanie and Maddie. We had so much fun we went swimming and shopping and played tennis. I love going to st. george before it get way to hot!

we took taylah to her first concert a few weeks ago. The wailers were playing a free show up at the canyons in Park City. People from the age of 60 to 6 months were there. taylah had so much fun singing and dancing. I can't wait to take to a Jack Johnson concert.

Elder Christian Stewart to the Tokyo Japan Mission.
We dropped christian off at the MTC on Wednesday (new years eve).
It was so hard for me I miss him so much already I have become so close to him i feel like his second mom. I am so proud of him he will be a great missionary and leader. He will be in the Mtc in Provo for three months learning Japanese (scary) Can't wait to talk to him on March 17Th when he flys out to JPan.

We met up at the gateway in slc with our friends (taylah's uncles) Uncle Markie, Uncle Craigie, and uncle jojo. We went and saw santa, then i did a little shopping while the boys took taylah to the skybox to play. Then we went to dinner at iggys because there was a game on. After dinner we went to temple square it was tayters first time to go see the lights. It was so cold and crowded but she loved going and loved all the attention she got from the boys. We had so much fun can't wait to do it again. thanks guys we love you so much.

it's christmas....

We have been so busy i haven't had a chance to do any blogging.

taylah's cousin maddie had a christmas choir concert.
we went and stayed at the Zermott in midway (stewart fam tradition) where we went swimming, the girls built a ginger bread house with grandma. We opened up our christmas eve presents that night (pajamas).

First off i just want to say how thankful i am for my family. I have a very supportive and patient husband how I love. He's also such a good dad. I have the cutest little girl who is so funny and is getting too old too fast! I have such great and supportive parents who do so much for me. My sisters Danielle who has become my number 1 babysitter. Kaitlin who is blessing us by serving a mission which she loves. Stephanie has become a better friend then i could have imagined. I love My brother and his wife Crystal and both girls Maddie and sweet baby livi. Christian is almost always fun and i'm gonna miss him so much when he leave to go on his mission in less than a month. Thanks for everything you guys do for my i couldn't have picked a better family.

thanksgiving night half my family (+ christians good friend Wei) drove down to st.George for the weekend. We mostly just chilled and relaxed it was so nice. On Saturday we went to FIESTA FUN and did mini golf and bumper boats.

She went with Maddie and her mom Mary. I was suppose to go but was sick with my kidney stones. So they went without me, they had so much fun. taylah has been into Disney princess anything, lion king and Hercules the movies she wants to watch them everyday.

My little BIG brother Christian who has been going to BYU this year. He is a red shirt Freshman quarter back. Last year in High School his baseball team took state. He graduated with honors and broke a few state records as Quarter back. I am so proud of him he just got his mission call to serve in Tokyo Japan. How cool he leaves on the 31st of December. I am so proud and sad at the same time, he's mine and Hala's little buddy and we always have so much fun with him.

My little Princerella its a Taylah word. She has put Cinderella and princess together making Princerella. Taylah went trick or treating at my parents. She went with my dad and sister Danielle mostly. She loved it and had so much fun.

We also carved pumpkins at my parents tay hated the goo and seeds. I have been so bad a posting lately. If its not one thing it's another like Taylah being sick to Hala having gout and me having kidney stones ( that still haven't passed). So I am posting a few things today.

Our last trip to the city was spent shopping at my favorite store H&M. I always find the best stuff for taylah. Then we went to China town to go buy purses and tshirts. the pics are of us on the train ride from nj to ny. Taylah loves stickers as you can tell.

I went to Pennsylvania last week with my mom,dad and taylah. My parents flew to new jersey and then we drove to phili. We did a bus tour and saw all the sites. It was so nice to see my parents even though i saw them two weeks before. We also went into the Amish town and saw the Amish and did a little tour on a horse drawn buggy. taylah and my mom loved it so much. thanks again for the fun trip!

The playhouse disney show was taylah's favorite thing. Maddie and tayters were dancing and singing along the whole time.

They had a high school musical parade and show. She loved all the dancing and singing.
Maddie wanted to match taylah they looked so cute.
My favorite ride the safari had lots of African animals that i have never seen before. tayters loved it too she sat with grandma the whole time.

Sunday we meet up with a friend of the family. We went to her singles ward were of course taylah was the only little child and everyone could hear her. I thought it was kinda funny. Then we went to the Kennedy space center, Emo came along which was nice. She was a big help all week with taylah since my Hala was home working.

Taylah and i met my family in Florida last week. It was so nice i hadn't seen my family for almost two months. Tay was so excited to see everyone especially her cousin Maddie.
The night we arrived we went to Down Town Disney and celebrated my sister in law Crystals Birthday. We eat at the house of Blues, it was so fun even though the food wasn't all that great.

Taylah, my mom, stephanie, my dad and I went out to San Diego to go see Christian in a baseball Tournament. Chris did so good, Timpanogos did so good. They won 2 of the 3 games. Watching Christian play baseball, football or even church basketball is one of my favorite things to do. The weather in San Diego was so nice I love it! Tay had fun with my mom swimming and going to see the sea lions in La Joya.

Taylah had her 1.5 year check up today. She remembered getting her shots here last month so she keep crying and screaming. Once she realized no shots were involved she calmed down and was fine. So I let her have a sucker when we were done.

Both Bosch and Rider too turns telling the story Abel Pratt had told them. By the end Olivias was laughing and shaking his head and Bosch could tell by O'shea's face that he was trying to count how many times he had chaken Maury Swann's had in court. Maybe he was worrying about potential political fallout.

THE SUPER BOWL
I can't wait for sunday beacuse it is the last football game i'll have to watch until next season. Here is the best recipe for cafe rio salad or buritto. I thought it was a good football party food.

pork
3 lbs pork roast
16 oz chunky salsa
1 can coke
2 cup brown sugar
place pork in crock pot , fill half way up the side of the pork with water. cook on high for 4 hours. drain water. cut pork into thirds, then mix sauce [coke, brown sugar, + salsa] and pour on top. cook 4 more hours on low. shred pork. mix back in with sauce if you want it saucy or not.

cafe rio rice
3 cups uncooked rice
4 cups water
4 tsp chicken bouillion
2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1 can green chili's diced
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp zest of lime
2 tbs lime juice
2 tsp sugar
1 tbs butter
1/2 onion, chopped
saute onion, garlic and butter until the onion is soft. add water, rice, and remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. after it begins to boil rapidly, reduce the heat to low and cover with the lid and simmer for about 20 minutes.

cafe rio creamy cilantro ranch dressing
1 package dry hidden valley ranch salad dressing
1 cup mayo1/
2 bunch cilantro
1 large clove garlic
3 small-medium tomatillos, husk off
1/3 cup buttermilk
juice of 1 lime
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (or 1 small jalapeno) - optional
place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. chill in fridge at least 1 hour before serving, then it will thicken.

cafe rio chicken
1 small bottle of kraft zesty italian dressing
1 tbs chili powder
1 tbs cumin
3 cloves garlic-minced
5 lbs chicken breast
cook all together in a crockpot for 4 hours on high, shred, then cook for an additional 1 hour.

Any tortillas work i get the kind from costco, that you have to cook the tortilla. I love them they taste homemade. Have a fun super bowl sunday and Go Giants!

Taylah can eat and eat and eat. She has just recently started eating a lot, now that bottles are only at bed time. Soon hopefully she'll be of the bottle for good. It's hard because I have tried about 6 different sippy cups and she hates them all. Anyone know any tricks?
